This is a new complex at Brisbane Airport containing a two-bay heavy maintenance hangar with provision for a third aircraft for line maintenance. The hangar has a clear span space of 160 metres wide and 80 metres deep, with a clear height to the underside of the roof structure of 26 metres. The complex also contains almost 10,000sqm of workshops, offices and workforce amenities as well as an attached stores building with a 4,000sqm floor area. The complex is to be located on the eastern side of the airport campus and will be equivalent in terms of building height and bulk to the existing International Terminal Complex, situated across the main runway.
