TZU CHI EARLY LEARNING CENTRE
The Tzu Chi Community Centre, designed by Neylan Architecture for Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu-Chi Foundation, is a multi-purpose community centre that sets a new precedent for Taiwanese – Australian architecture in Queensland, creating both an aesthetic and cultural union that aims to serve the local community in which it stands.
Within the Community Centre is a vegan cafe, bookshop, community hall, education spaces, and a childcare centre. The Centre serves as both a local community hub, and as a base for the charitable works of the Tzu Chi Foundation. Such charitable works include disaster relief, with the Centre now serving as an official Emergency Evacuation Centre for the Brisbane City Council.
